You might have guessed by now that I'm not some early adopter. After using Bitcoin for online purchases the last 3 years, I decided trading in March at last. I decided to read and study for 2 months before going deeper into this emotional roller coaster. I have used Binance until now, and considering Dogecoin is not available there I never got interested about it or ever traded it.
Every now and then on TradingView, I'd click on DOGE/USD and see that
weird chart. Today I decided to understand why it makes this kind of movement. After visiting Bittrex and checking the order book I understood that Dogecoin moves predominantly on the last two digits of Bitcoin (e.g. 0.00000038). Hence, on the hourly chart, we see Dogecoin going from 39 to 40 sats, 40 to 39, 39 to 38, 38 to 40 and so on.
And I realized, when the market is moving sideways, and there is no big spike up or down, we can make 2.5% profit every time Doge moves one digit up and down. (At this price point)
Let's say I transfer $100 worth of BTC on Bittrex or Poloniex and start doing such trades every few minutes, half an hour, an hour. I will end up with 102.5, and then 105, and then 107.6, and then 110.3
Then why doesn't everybody just rush into Doge when the markets are asleep? Am I missing anything here?
